Best Links For Your Website

Most people know that building links to your site is absolutely critical to improving your search engine ranking. In general, the more links you have pointing to your website, think the more serious or important search engines that you are, and so they increase their rank.

But all links are equal? Definitely not. Here is a brief list of what types of links are better than others.

1. One way links are better than reciprocal links. In general, if a website links for you, this link will carry more weight, not back when you can not connect to them. In many cases, the search engines, see "reciprocal links" and only basic link exchange. However, if a site links back to you without a link, which is often seen as a genuine link of interest

2. Links from more reputable / popular sites are better than links from unpopular sites. Google has a "Page Rank" for each page on the Internet, a degree of "side with the cry" or "popular" is similar. The higher the page rank, the more weight has a link for you. Known and popular sites (eg Amazon.com) have a high page rank, and are therefore far more valuable that unpopular links from sites

3. Links from sites that are linked in content, are worth more as separate links. For example, if your site is about shoes, then a link from another site about shoes, or perhaps even foot care or clothing is more valuable than a link from a site about flowers.

4. The "anchor text", which is the words used in your link, are important. Even with the shoes, for example, if your site is then left over the shoes with the words of shoes better than the words left flowers (eg, amount)

5. As part of a faulty link "environment" can be bad for your site. The most extreme cases like this is if you any kind of articial link building system, as those who join the automatically build a close relationship between the members. Basically everything that is intended to artificially boost link popularity is a bad idea and you can penalized by the search engines
